Meet the Team

Danielle Wilson, Owner-Certified Animal Nutrition & Fitness Consultant

Did we say we’re dog people? We’re dog people. Danielle’s really dog people…she and her husband own three dogs. However, she’s alsoDanielle & Ripley a devoted cat person and has been known to race into dirty, old barns to save the life of a small kitten. There are often more kittens up for adoption at the shop than there are people. But that’s another story.

Back to Danielle: she’s the mastermind of the company. That’s right; it’s Danielle who came up with the idea of opening a pet spa and all natural pet supply in Granville, Ohio. She’s also the one who put together a Zen Wellness team so every aspect of the business is supported by an expert in their field. Danielle was a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) for many years, working with the Columbus Zoo and several veterinarians in Pinehurst, NC and the Columbus, Ohio area, including Dan Wolfe DVM, a highly talented orthopedic surgeon for animals. She is a certified animal nutrition and fitness consultant and serves as a Director on the board of The Good Dog Foundation. Danielle began it all in 2004 when she helped develop an all-natural pet food line and began delivering it across Central Ohio. She opened Bath & Biscuits in 2009 after years of dreaming about owning a place that could help pets become healthy from the inside out. Danielle listens, laughs, dances and occasionally cries with her customers. She loves each and every pet that comes through her door and the highest quality of service is offered to all of her customers.

Michelle Maxwell, Professional Groomer

Michelle has always had a soft spot in her heart for animals. Mentored by Vonda Welch, one of the top former groomers in our area, she continued to build her grooming skills and knowledge by grooming for over nine years at All Creatures Animal Hospital/The Animal Care Center at Granville. Michelle prides herself on keeping current on the latest trends in the industry by attending seminars at the Grooming Expo and networking with colleagues. Whether you wish to have your dog's bathing and maintenance-grooming done on a regular basis, or for special occasions, you can be assured that Michelle’s "eye" for perfection and her gentle nature will ensure that your dog will not only have a happy and relaxed grooming experience at Bath & Biscuits, but he or she will also look the way you want them to look!

Julia Kopan, Certified Professional Dog Trainer

Julia grew up with a strong love of animals and always knew she would be working with them in some capacity. Julia got her first tasteJulia, Parker & Fox of training with Chucky, the woodchuck. Using a clicker and his rewards of nutra grain bars and misting him with a water bottle on hot days, she taught him to raise a flag, wave to the audience, and walk on a harness. Over the course of two summers she also helped train a variety of exotic and farm animals, and from then on she was hooked. Julia is fascinated by animal behavior and how we can shape it using positive reinforcement. She brought that love of training to the dog world, first as an apprentice with a CPDT trainer in Wisconsin, than as a staff trainer and eventual training manager of a large daycare and training facility in Orange County, California. Julia became a Certified Professional Dog Trainer in 2006, and has gone to numerous seminars and conferences around the country with world-renowned speakers and leading experts in the field of animal behavior and training. She is always looking to further her education and learn as much as she can about our beloved companions.  Julia is also an AKC, Canine Good Citizen evaluator, and certified TAGteach Primary.
